WHAT IS THE PINK RIBBON PROGRAMME?

The Pink Ribbon Program is a post operative, pilates based, recovery program, developed by a survivor for survivors to help regain mobility, and improve strength and posture. It uses the principles of pilates exercises and focuses on shoulder mobility and strength to reduce pain and improve function.

The course can help you to:

  • Regain strength and mobility in the affected shoulder & arm

  • Promote lymphatic drainage, helping to prevent lymphoedema

  • Improve functional ability & quality of life

  • Enhance & restore energy levels

  • Restore postural control

  • Decrease stress & anxiety

  • Alleviate pain & swelling

The course is taught over a period 6 weeks, in small groups and can be adapted as necessary. It is equally suitable for recent survivors and those whose surgery was some time ago but who have had difficulty regaining their mobility.
